About Us
To learn and to know, this is my right!
The Young Learns Africa Foundation (YLAF) is a multi-project, educational-based nonprofit organization that aims to end educational poverty, promote girl education, and enhance community and peacebuilding in South Sudan and around the neighboring African nations. Also, YLAF has an online digital library available to everyone and wherever there is access to the internet. We bring books to the hard-to-reach areas of our world by making them available online at no cost. Our foundation empowers young ones to learn.
Our Mission
Through education, we inspire and encourage the next generation of boys and girls to grow and reach their full potential.
Our Vision
Stop child and forced marriages in South Sudan and Africa.
Our Values
- Teamwork: Our success results from our collective efforts in working as teams (communities).
- Trust: We believe trusting in ourselves to deliver services to our communities is the key to the longevity of our promise.
- Integrity: To succeed is to be trustworthy in doing our work.
- Reliability: We hold ourselves accountable for what we say and do.
- Quality: What we say or do is best seen in what we offer and how we deliver.
